Yes! If you’re unsure if you can attend and are not quite ready to submit your room reservation, that’s okay. Please email Cassie to let her know that you’re considering attending, at cassie@oddballescapes.com.  It’s important to have a head count. Plus, if rooms begin to sell out, Cassie can contact you regarding your decision before the event officially sells out.

You can view the room category options above. Scroll to the large green “Register Here” icon in the middle of the page to reserve your room. You must click on the orange button so that you can reserve your room with our event. You must register directly at this link in order to receive group rates and secure your discounted room category. Please, Do NOT go to Ocean Sky’s site and start a new reservation. The total room rates after tax will be higher, and you will not be included in our room block. We want you to be a part of our group so that you enjoy the additional benefits we will be offering.

Under the “Reserve Your Room” section, we’ve listed the total amount after taxes for each of the 3 room categories available. We did this as a convenience so that there are no surprises. We want you to know the total price. You will also see the nightly room rate + tax rate below the total rate. Please note, if you are shortening or extending your stay, your room rates will be adjusted accordingly.

Unfortunately, parking is not free. Valet and self-parking is available for $18 per night.  Please keep this in mind if you plan on driving to the event, or are planning on using a rental car.

Each guest will be responsible for his or her own flights to/from the Fort Lauderdale area. Since each guest is coming from a different city, group rates are not available. Most guests will prefer to book their flights themselves so that they can choose their departure airport, preferred airline, and preferred itineraries. There are two main airports to choose from: FLL = Fort Lauderdale Hollywood International airport  is the closest, or MIA = Miami International Airport which is a bit farther away.

To Florida: We recommend that flights arrive in the morning or early afternoon on Wednesday, January 9, 2018.
From Florida: We recommend that flights depart no earlier than 11:00am on Sunday, January 13, 2018.

Most guests will prefer to book their flights themselves so that they can choose their departure airport, preferred airline, and preferred itineraries. However, if you need assistance booking your flight, you can email Cassie at cassie@oddballescapes.com with the following information: 1) preferred departure airport, 2) preferred airline, and 3) the number of passengers (including yourself). Please include your phone number so that she can contact you regarding different flight itinerary options.

Yes! If you prefer to drive a vehicle during your stay in Fort Lauderdale, you can either arrange a rental car yourself, or Cassie can help you with rental car arrangements. Simply email Cassie at cassie@oddballescapes.com, and request a rental vehicle. Be sure to specify the style of vehicle you prefer – economy, compact, standard/full, or SUV. She will then email you a quote for a rental car from the 9th to the 13th from either the FLL or MIA airports. (Please let her know if you prefer different dates or pick-up/drop-off locations.) Please keep in mind that parking at the hotel is $18 per night per vehicle.

Activities are optional. We will provide you with a list of nearby attractions in your Welcome Packet once you arrive to the resort. Remember, you have Free Day on Saturday the 12th. Customize it as you wish! And for those of you who register early, by October 19th, you will receive a $150 activities credit (one per room) to put toward the cost of doing something fun during your free time.

Food is as you wish! Everyone’s tastes are different, so feel free to eat at the hotel or explore the various restaurants in the area. The hotel features an on-property dining option – Cedars Palace Restaurant. It is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The breakfast menu is from 7:00am until 11:00am. Then lunch and dinner are available from 11:00am until 10:00pm.

Your Welcome Packet will provide a list of local restaurants in the St. Pete Beach area.

Note: A light brunch/snack will be offered at 9:30am before the meetings start on Thursday and Friday. But for a full meal, we suggest eating breakfast prior to the meetings.

The on-site bar is open until 10pm nightly so that guest rooms are not disturbed. However, additional bars are within walking distance from the hotel. 

The ocean front pool is outside and heated. An outdoor oversized jacuzzi is also available. The hotel provides complimentary pool towels – you do not need to bring a room towel down to the beach area!  There is also an accessible pool lift available! Chaise lounges are set out on the pool deck and are complimentary to use. However, if you seek more privacy, poolside cabanas are available for an additional fee. 

We ask that you please respect the pool rules and hours. 

The beach is located just steps from the hotel – you do NOT need to cross any roads from this hotel to access the beach (which is very common in the Ft. Lauderdale area). 

The event includes: 
Welcome cocktail drink at the reserved outdoor space on Wednesday evening.
National Meeting sessions on Thursday & Friday.
Surprise event on Thursday evening, with food, drinks & entertainment. (subject to change)

You are responsible for: 
Your flights to/from the Fort Lauderdale area.
Your hotel room at the Ocean Sky Hotel & Resort.
Transportation from the airport to the hotel.
Parking charges of $18 per night for valet or self-park. (Please factor this in if renting a car!)
Optional activities in the Ft. Lauderdale & Miami area.
Daily food and drink.
Optional costs such as rental car, souvenirs, or extended travel plans.
